Industry/regional collaboration

The Organization for Promotion of Industry-Academia-Regional Collaboration has supported activities to popularize specialty products in urban areas as part of collaborative projects with production areas.

Recently, the local production and consumption project “I love fish!” -Let’s eat Kesennuma mechakoro- (sponsored by Sumida Ward, co-sponsored by: Kesennuma City, Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Kesennuma Shinkin Bank, Tokyo Higashi Shinkin Bank, General Foundation Act Popular Sennuma Shinkin Reconstruction Support Fund, support: Kesennuma Swordfish Branding Promotion Committee) introduced Kesennuma City and fisheries, and swordfish as one of the representative marine products, to older classes at nursery schools in Sumida Ward.
