At the Sanriku Satellite, from July 29nd to 7st, 22, two second-year students from the Department of Food Production, Faculty of Marine Science, underwent an internship at Abecho Shoten Co., Ltd. (Kesennuma City).The students experienced on-site processing work and planning new menus using fishery resources landed in Kesennuma as raw materials.During the period, I interacted with employees and realized the current situation and issues of the marine product processing industry, as well as the future potential of Kesennuma, which aims to harmonize fisheries and tourism, and recover from the damage caused by the earthquake.At the Sanriku Satellite, we will continue to work with local seafood processors to improve the quality of training.
