What you need to know when job hunting

Specified Activity (Job Hunting) Visa
Designated Activities Visa

If you have not secured employment by the time of graduation and would like to continue job hunting in Japan, you can apply to change your residence status to "Designated Activities (Job Hunting)".
If you could not find a work even after graduation, you can apply for a "designated activities" visa to continue your job hunt.

  • Period of stay: 6 months

  • If you are not allowed to work under this status of residence, but would like to work part-time, you will need to apply for permission to engage in activities other than those permitted under this status again.
