This time, following the XNUMXth Advanced Specialized Career Development Theory, this year's second workshop (work experience reports by two internship graduates) and an information exchange meeting with people from companies were held.
In addition, a total of XNUMX people participated, and more than XNUMX people, including top executives of companies, and students and post-doctoral fellows actively exchanged opinions at the information exchange meeting, making it a meaningful time. .The whole course of the lecture, workshop, and career round-table conference proceeded smoothly with Professor Segawa's witty moderation.

Continuing from Part XNUMX, Part XNUMXDepartment workshop (long-term internship debriefing session) has started.

◆Mr. Segawa introduced Ms. Kitajima, who was originally from Brazil and got a job at Alltech Japan, as the reporter of her first internship experience.

At the beginning, there was an introduction of Alltech Japan Co., Ltd., where the training was conducted.The company is a small company in Japan, but it is said to be one of the top XNUMX large companies in the global feed industry, and is headquartered in the United States.

He explained that his main activities at the internship site were collecting information on new products, investigating the effects on humans and animals, researching competitors, and preparing related documents.He also had the opportunity to visit fish farms in Japan and work with them.The purpose of the internship was to get a job at a company, but he thought that even if he didn't get a job, he would still be able to gain work experience.

Mr. Kitajima was first offered a sales position that was different from what he had hoped for. Or it seems that they did not know at first whether it was compatible.My current job is a coordinator of technical sales, and while working on multiple tasks in parallel, teamwork, and language barriers are still big challenges, I feel that the job is worth the challenge. He concluded the report by saying,

◆Next, Mr. Segawa introduced Mr. Ooka, the PD, as a reporter of the next internship experience.

Mr. Ooka graduated from the Faculty of Science, but in the process of researching fisheries under Professor Takeuchi, he wanted to learn the basics of abalone on the actual site, so he participated in the internship.

The fisheries industry in Iwate Prefecture is an important part of Japan as a whole, but although Iwate Prefecture is said to be recovering relatively quickly from the earthquake, it will take more time for fisheries resources. rice field.Mr. Ooka is involved in abalone farming as part of the Sanriku Reconstruction Project, and he said that he would like to contribute to the restoration of the Sanriku region through this research.

Next, in relation to the daily work involved in the internship, there was a detailed explanation using photographs of ezo abalone farming.

Mr. Ooka said, "Through my internship, I learned that a lot of effort is being put into supporting the fisheries industry. I also learned what the field is looking for in order to revive the fisheries industry in Iwate Prefecture. It was.”He also concluded his presentation by stating, "I would like to feed back my future research to the field so that it can be put to good use."
 

Finally, Prof. Takeuchi gave closing remarks and moved to the venue for the Career Conference.

Prof. Takeuchi concluded the meeting by saying, "It may have been too short a time for him to talk about his passion, but I am relieved that the long-term internship seems to have produced results."

The third part of the conference was followed by a round-table conference, where people from companies, lecturers, students, and post-doctoral fellows exchanged opinions on a grand scale, as was the case last time.
