[Title of award-winning research]
Analysis of the effect of cell population fluctuations on RNA-seq analysis of whitefoot shrimp

[Details of award-winning research]
Infectious diseases cause serious damage to shrimp farming. In order to combat infectious diseases, it is important to understand shrimp immunity at the cell type level. We have been searching for the types of shrimp immune cells and the genes that identify them. In this study, we used RNA-seq data, which is comprehensive gene expression data, to confirm that the proportion of specific cell types changes during fish disease infection. Furthermore, we suggested that genes that identify cell types may be used to detect changes in the proportion of cell types. These results will provide important information for analyzing shrimp immunity at the cell type level, and are expected to contribute to infectious disease countermeasures in aquaculture.
