[Comment from the person himself]
I am very honored to have been selected for the U23 Japan National Team. In last year's national team selection race, I failed in the qualifying round, and was keenly aware of the gap between me and other players of my age, and I have used that feeling as a springboard to train hard for a year. I am very grateful to my fellow rowing club members, coaches, directors, alumni, family and friends who always support me, and my seniors who kept the rowing club together even though I was unable to do as much as I wanted due to the coronavirus pandemic when I first joined the club. I want to be aware that I am carrying the Japanese flag on my back, and I want to play to the best of my ability while having fun and aiming for results. Thank you all for your support.
