 The Umimachi Community School, run by Professor Tsuyoshi Sasaki of the Department of Marine Policy and Cultural Studies at the Graduate School of Academic Research at our university as an initiative to promote and educate on aquatic environmental literacy, will be holding the Morikawa Umimachi Children's Summit 2024 as a venue for children to present and interact with each other about local waterfront issues.The Morikawa Umimachi Children's Summit is an initiative for children to make recommendations for a society that values ??the connection between nature and people through waterside exploration and learning.
 At the summit, children from all over Japan and Asia will gather to present the "regional waterside issues" they are working to solve. Together, adults and children at the venue will explore how to create a society where people and nature are connected.
