Public announcement of disciplinary actions
Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, a national university corporation (hereinafter referred to as "the University"), found the following facts against a technical staff member and took disciplinary action against him in the form of a warning to dismiss him on February 1, 2024.
The employee received a summary order for violating the Youth Healthy Development Ordinance.
The employee also used a work computer for inappropriate purposes unrelated to his job.
These actions by the employee are grossly inappropriate for an employee of our university and violate Article 36 (Fundamental Standards of Service), Article 37 (Obligation to Obey Laws, Regulations, and Duties in the Course of Work), Article 38 (Prohibition of Conduct that Brings Disrepute), and Article 45 (Prohibited Conduct) of the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology National University Corporation Employee Work Regulations. Pursuant to Article 33, the employee is subject to disciplinary action of dismissal with a warning.
