Accepted foreign trainees under the project of the Overseas Fishery Cooperation Foundation (OFCF)

This training is aimed at government officials from countries with fisheries relations with Japan who are expected to play a leading role in fisheries administration in the future. In addition to general training (Japanese language, introduction to the Japanese fisheries industry, related inspections, etc.) conducted mainly by OFCF, technical training ( development of project studies necessary for fishery management, etc.).
Our university has been cooperating with this training since 2018, and in 2020 and 2021 we had to suspend acceptance due to the influence of the new coronavirus, but this time we have resumed.
Developing leaders in resource management and fishery management is an activity that contributes to the achievement of SDGs such as SDGs 14 "Conservation and sustainable use of oceans and marine resources" promoted by our university. In this way, we will cooperate in human resource development projects to "know the sea, protect the sea, and use the sea."
