President Iseki paid a courtesy visit to the Consul General and Ambassador of Japan in Shanghai
2023Years12Month18President Toshio Iseki, Vice President Akio Okayasu, Associate Professor Wu Haiyun, and others took the opportunity of a business trip to Shanghai to pay a courtesy visit to Shuichi Akamatsu, the Consul General and Ambassador of Japan in Shanghai.
At the temporary official residence of the Consul General, President Iseki met with Ambassador Akamatsu and exchanged information between our university and Shanghai Ocean University.4We explained that an international symposium, which will be held face-to-face for the first time in years, is scheduled for the next day.
Ambassador Akamatsu stated that Japan and China share many shared cultures and have an extremely highly compatible relationship.11At the Japan-China summit meeting in February, Prime Minister Kishida and President Xi agreed to further expand educational exchanges and exchanges among young people, and our university will continue to promote exchanges with Chinese universities and develop them. There was support for doing so.
Also present at the meeting were Consul Masahiro Numata, who is in charge of the education sector, and Vice Consul Yoshinobu Osawa, who is in charge of the agriculture and fisheries sector and is a graduate of our university.
