International exchange / study abroad

On July 6, 7, Vice President Zeng Qingcheng of Dalian Maritime University in China and two other delegations visited our university to hold a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding on student exchange.

Prior to the signing ceremony, the group was welcomed by Prof. Masashi Maida, Executive Director and Vice President for Education and International Affairs, and Prof. Yutaka Watanabe, the liaison professor at Dalian Maritime University, and held a meeting. Prof. Maida expressed his gratitude for sending excellent students to the "Project for Developing Highly Specialized Professionals through Inter-University Exchanges in Japan, China, Korea, and Other Countries" program for the training of highly specialized professionals in the field of maritime studies (commonly known as the Japan-China-Korea Program), which was adopted in 22. Prof. John expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to attend the signing ceremony and his expectations for further development of exchanges with our university. After reviewing the past exchange records between the two universities, they actively exchanged opinions on how to further cooperate. Following the meeting, the signing ceremony for the memorandum on student exchanges was held in a friendly atmosphere.

Afterwards, Associate Professor Gen Nakamura from the Department of Marine Environmental Sciences gave the group a tour of the Marine Science Museum.
