At our university, after hearing an overview of our university from Professor Yoshinori Miyamoto, Dean of the Faculty of Marine Resources and Environment, we received a mini-lecture on the current state of octopus resources and artificial breeding technology from Associate Professor Shigeki Dan (Marine Bioresources Division).After the lecture, we visited Professor Daisuke Shiode (Marine Bioresources Division)'s circulating tank laboratory, and Assistant Professor Keiichiro Kowaki (Marine Bioresources Department)'s transgenic breeding room and infection laboratory.After receiving explanations about their research and facilities from each faculty member, the students actively asked questions and seemed to be very interested in research at our university.
