Background of recruitment

　The Aquatic Pathology Laboratory of the Department of Marine Life Resources, Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology is conducting research into infectious diseases (viral and bacterial diseases) in fish and shellfish, clarifying the characteristics of pathogens, developing vaccines, and researching immune and disease resistance mechanisms in fish. This position is for a technical assistant who will be involved in histopathological experiments on infectious diseases in fish and shellfish, and who will be involved in specialized tasks such as obtaining histopathological images.

Duties

(1）     Preparation of histopathological sections
(2）     Microscopic observation and acquisition of histopathological image data
(3）     Analysis and organization of image data
(4）     Other research support work
