Duties

University training ship (secondary)3He will work on board the ship as a first officer, and his duties will include navigational watch, berthing watch, arranging work in and out of port, instructing trainees, and general shipboard affairs.

Qualifications

1 Persons with Japanese nationality For foreign nationals, only those with a status of residence with no restrictions on activities in Japan Must have Japanese language ability to a level that does not hinder work on the training ship
2 Must have graduated from a Japanese or foreign university and have a bachelor's degree or higher qualification.
3 Qualified as third-class marine engineer (navigation) or higher
4 First-class special maritime radio operator license or third-class maritime communication written test passer
5 It is desirable to be a person who has acquired ship health manager qualifications or who has acquired the classroom credits necessary for acquiring ship health manager qualifications.
6 Desirable to have boarding experience
7 Those who are interested in ships and the ocean, and who are enthusiastic about education and research
* 2-5 includes those who are expected to acquire

However, the following persons cannot apply.
1.
A person who has been sentenced to imprisonment or a heavier punishment and has completed the execution of the sentence, or is on a suspended period of execution of the sentence, or has not yet been subject to the execution of the sentence.
2.
A person who has been subject to disciplinary dismissal or equivalent disposition, and two years have not passed since the date of the disposition.

Salary

Salary rules for university staff apply (calculated based on career history)

Monthly salary: Starting salary 278,760 yen (for university graduates, including regional allowance).Various allowances: housing allowance, dependent allowance, etc. (paid if specified requirements are met)

Year-end/diligence allowance, retirement allowance (paid according to length of service)

Working hours and holidays

(1) Working hours: 1 hours per day while at sea, 8 hours 1 minutes per day while at anchor
(2) Holidays: 1 days on average per week (varies during voyage), annual paid leave, and other leave systems
