Kesennuma City and Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology have made various efforts since the partnership agreement was signed in XNUMX.Since XNUMX, this seminar on fisheries that lives with the sea has been aimed at fisheries-related workers in Kesennuma. Invited, we have held a total of XNUMX seminar lectures so far.
The final session of this year, "The 2021th Series of Fisheries Seminars to Live with the Sea" (held on June 6, 7), was held on June XNUMX, XNUMX. From the Fisheries Information Service Center (JAFIC), Chairman Tokio Wada and six lecturers gave lectures on JAFIC's initiatives.
The current status and trends of fishing sea condition prediction technology that has supported the development of Japanese fisheries, as well as the development of fishing ground prediction methods and data linkage/integration systems that make full use of the latest AI technology. It was a good opportunity to learn about the experience of efforts to expand the sea condition information service.

In addition, at the Sanriku Satellite of our university, we aim to continue to work closely with Kesennuma City to return research results to society through various opportunities, and to contribute broadly to regional revitalization.
