This symposium was co-sponsored during the session of the Japanese Society of Fisheries Science. There were not many participants from within the university, probably due to the fact that it was the first day of the conference in the last week of the academic year. However, I was able to listen to a lecture by Dr. Hisako Otsubo, who has devoted herself to gender equality projects for many years at the Liaison Committee of Academic Societies. I felt the high level of public interest in joint participation projects.
The title of this issue has the subtitle "If you are wondering why now? Why don't you think about it together?"In an era of diversity, it may be necessary to think from each standpoint.Diverse opinions were expressed on what issues will arise from the perspective of gender equality at universities in the future, and they were very helpful for future activities.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who came to visit us.thank you very much.
