We have opened a temporary rest space during the 6/1-2 "Kaiosai" period.

2013.06.04

On June XNUMXst and XNUMXnd, the Faculty of Ocean Engineering's university festival, "Kaiousai," was held at the Etchujima Campus. We have opened a “Penguin Room” in the Office Sea Nami Etchujima (Etchujima Kaikan XNUMXF Common Space XNUMX).

There were many people living in the neighborhood at the Kaio Festival, and many families with small children were seen. For that reason, the information was only displayed on the poster on the day, but there were users at the same time as the opening, and it was a great success with XNUMX groups and XNUMX people over the two days.
The most common purpose of use was “changing diapers,” followed by “resting,” “breastfeeding,” and “napping.” Many people said, "I was looking for a place where I could change my child's diaper, so that was helpful."

At Office Umi Nami, upon request, we can set up a "Penguin Room" in the office and provide a temporary rest space when an event is held on or off campus. It is also possible to set up the "Penguin Room" at other venues, so if you are holding various events such as academic conferences at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, or are interested in the "Penguin Room", please feel free to contact Office Kai. Please contact Nami.
