On April 4th (Thursday), Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology and the Japan Ship Machinery and Equipment Association co-sponsored the "Career Path Seminar for Female Students" at the Etchujima Campus (Etchujima Kaikan 25nd Floor Seminar Room).
With the cooperation of the Japan Ship Machinery and Equipment Association, this career path seminar was attended by three alumni of Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Ms. Yuko Masaki of Yanmar Co., Ltd., and Junko Suzuki of Daihatsu Diesel Co., Ltd., who are active in the marine industry. Mr. Namiko Oka from Nabtesco Corporation gave a lecture on what she learned at university, job hunting, her current job, and how women work in society.
First, Ms. Yuko Masaki gave a presentation titled "What does it mean for a woman to work in society?"Also, based on her own experience, she gave advice and a message of encouragement to students who are about to enter society.
Ms. Junko Suzuki, the second, gave a talk to working adults about what she learned from her university life, advice on her career, and her current job, under the title of "How to get a job that makes use of what you have learned." Nari talked about what she felt when she actually worked. He talked about not only fun and fun, but also the sense of fulfillment and liberation that can be felt when a problem arises and is resolved.
Ms. Namiko Oka, the third speaker, spoke about her university life, employment, and life as a member of society under the title of "Choosing a Path."Ms. Oka's words, ``What you learn at university will be useful when you go out into the world,'' are thought to have encouraged the participating students. increase. Finally, I received some advice as a working woman.
After a break, the students were divided into three groups and had a free talk "Let's talk about campus life and job hunting with seniors!".Each group had a lively discussion about why they chose the university, memories of their internship, job hunting, and current job details.
Many of the students who participated commented, "It was a seminar where I was able to hear various stories directly from the graduates, and I was able to take a positive attitude toward the future."It was around this time that the graduates were given specific information about where they would be employed and what kind of jobs they would be employed in, broadening the range of career options available, and I believe that the seminar was a great motivation for future university life and job hunting.
Thank you to everyone who participated.
