Announcement of 10th Anniversary Symposium (11/19)

2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the government enacting the Basic Law for Gender Equal Society, and the 10th anniversary of the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology's Declaration of Action for Gender Equality.In the last 20 years, society has changed dramatically, and in various situations, individuals are now required to act based on the philosophy of diversity, where they mutually accept diversity.It can be said that 2009 was the year in which the Gender Equality Action Declaration was made, and that the university's gender equality promotion project started.The activities of the Organization for Supporting Female Researchers, which was launched in 2011, are now in their eighth year.
Therefore, we decided to make 2019 a milestone year and look back on the last 10 years.As part of this, we will hold a symposium to share time with the participants to think about what the university should do in the future, while looking back on the promotion projects that we have been working on from the perspective of a gender equality society and learning about good examples from other institutions. It will be held.
Anyone can participate in this seminar.All interested parties, whether maritime institutions or not, are encouraged to attend.
