On March 2014, 3 (Wednesday), at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (Shinagawa Campus Shirataka Building 5F Lecture Room), Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology Research Activity Support Project General Symposium
　“The current state of female researchers living with the sea.And from now on. "has been held.
　 This symposium was organized into three parts as a summary of the university's efforts over the past three years.

　　　　　?Part 2: Presentations from organizations and companies in the ocean-related field
　　　　　?Part 3: Panel discussion

　Following the opening remarks by President Okamoto, Ms. Yoko Fujie, Director of the Gender Equality Learning Division, Lifelong Learning Policy Bureau, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology gave a keynote speech titled "Promoting Gender Equality in Higher Education."Next, Director Ikeda gave a business report on the three years of support for research activities by female researchers at the university.
　
　　In Part 3, "Expectations and Issues - Current Status and Expectations for Gender Equality and Support for Female Researchers in Ocean-Related Fields", three people from organizations and companies talked about the current status of female researchers and engineers. We had a presentation.
　　In Part 3, a panel discussion was held between the faculty members of the university and the speakers on the theme of "Supporting Female Researchers in Ocean-Related Fields and Considering Gender Equality."Deputy Director Kifune acted as moderator.
　At the end of the meeting, Director Masamasa, Director of the Gender Equality Promotion Office, gave a summary and closing remarks.
