7/15 Opened a temporary rest space during the "Marine Day Event"

2013.07.17

On July 2013th, 7 (holiday), the "Penguin Room" was opened at both the Etchujima and Shinagawa campuses as a temporary rest space for those with children during the event.

Every year on Marine Day, Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology holds a “Marine Day Event” with unique features and ingenuity on both campuses.Since it is open to the public, we have set up a “Penguin Room”, a space for changing diapers and breastfeeding, in the seaside offices of both campuses this year for people with small children around the campus.

Unfortunately, the building where Etchujima's "Penguin Room" was set up does not have an elevator, but there were many people who carried baby strollers up to the second floor to visit.

At Office Umi Nami, if there is a request when an event is held inside or outside the university, we can open a "Penguin Room" in the office and provide a temporary rest space. It is also possible to set up the "Penguin Room" at other venues, so if you are holding various events such as academic conferences at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, or are interested in the "Penguin Room", please feel free to contact Office Umi Nami. Please contact us.
