The Penguin Room is a temporary break room and baby playroom for female researchers operated by the National University Corporation Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology Gender Equality Promotion Office "Umi Nami".Although it is a small space, it was established with the aim of improving the research and education environment for female researchers.Please feel free to use it.

Please take advantage of this time.

Use of Penguin Room

Opening hours	Weekdays (Monday) - (Friday) 9:00 - 16:00
Those who can use	Women who belong to Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (Students, graduate students, postdocs, faculty and staff) Women's research institutes other than our university who use Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology for academic conferences, etc.researcher (Students, graduate students, postdocs, faculty members)

*Because it was established for the purpose of supporting female researchers, only female users are eligible.
* However, as an exception, men can also use the playroom attendant.

*If you would like to use the Penguin Room for academic conferences, seminars, symposiums, events, etc., please apply in advance.

How to apply

It is available at any time, but please note that if you have a reservation, priority will be given to those who have made a reservation, and you may not be able to use it. Advance reservations can be made by phone or email below. Please contact Uminami at the office.

Appearance and facilities of the penguin room

*Sofa bed, nursing chair, low table
*Blankets, pillows, towel blankets
* Electric kettle * Refrigerator (available for milking)
*Toys and picture books for infants are available, but please bring your own.
