On Friday, July 2017, 7, as one of the Summer Open Campus Programs of the Faculty of Ocean Engineering, we held a Career Path Seminar for Female Students at the Etchujima Campus (Etchujima Kaikan 28nd Floor Seminar Room). .This seminar is aimed at female students who want to learn about the sea and want to work, and is held every year in two parts: a mini lecture and a round-table conference, inviting graduates engaged in marine, maritime, and logistics-related work. doing. The content was about the reason why I went on to this university, what I want to do after graduation, and what kind of job I am looking for.
In the senior lectures in the first half, three graduates of the Faculty of Marine Engineering (Mr. Eri Noguchi from Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd., Ms. Tomomi Mori from Japan Marine United, and Ms. Naoko Kabuki from Mitsubishi Chemical Logistics Co., Ltd.) came and gave a lecture. I was.First, Mr. Noguchi (Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd.) titled "WELCOME ABOARD NOGUCHI HIGHWAY", he made his dream of becoming a sailor come true and was appointed captain. I was told about how to have consciousness that I have come.Next, Mr. Mori (Japan Marine United Co., Ltd.) gave a presentation titled "My History at a Shipbuilding Company," introducing his career up to the present and the types of ships he has been involved with. He said that he became interested in it, transferred to another department, and after stepping up further, he has been walking the path of shipbuilding.Lastly, Mr. Tsubaki (Mitsubishi Chemical Logistics Co., Ltd.) gave a lecture titled "From the Distribution Information Engineering Department to Marine Work," explaining why he chose to enter the "Distribution Information Engineering Department" at our university and what kind of work he is currently doing. He talked about the actual ship allocation business with a demonstration. The work of the three speakers is shipbuilding work to build a ship → work to arrange a ship → work to operate a ship. I listened with admiration.

In the second part after a break, we had a discussion with the speakers entitled "Let's talk about campus life and job hunting with seniors!"High school students and their guardians were present to hear valuable stories that are rarely heard.

In the questionnaire, some high school students wrote, "I didn't know much about Marine University, but I wanted to know more," and "It made me more aspiring."Every year, several participants actually go on to study at our university, making it a very effective event for creating opportunities to pursue a career in marine engineering.
We would like to thank all the undergraduate and graduate students, as well as high school students who wish to study at our university and their parents, for their participation.
