On October 30, 10 (Thursday), the first “Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology Appreciation Gathering” was held at the Shinagawa Campus Administration Building and Rakusui Kaikan.
Since our university established the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology Fund in 23, we have invited about 30 people who have donated a certain amount (cumulative total of 130 yen or more) to express their gratitude. About 50 people participated on the day, and from the university, executives such as President Takeuchi, executives, vice presidents, and special assistants to the president (in charge of external affairs) also participated.
First, we held an unveiling ceremony for the newly created donor plaque, followed by an introduction of the recipients of the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon, an activity briefing session on overseas student dispatch projects, and a social gathering.
Mr. Shigeharu Aoyama, a member of the House of Councillors, gave a speech at the beginning, followed by a toast by Mr. Shinichi Tanaka, Acting Chairman of the All Japan Seamen's Union.
