On Friday, July 2013, 7, we held a Career Path Seminar for Female Students at the Etchujima Campus (Etchujima Kaikan 26F Seminar Room) for female students, including undergraduate and graduate students. .
At the Etchujima Campus, it is usually held on the same day as the open campus of the Faculty of Marine Engineering in autumn, but this year it was held during the open campus in the summer. For this reason, not only our students, but also many high school students and their parents participated.
We invited three female seniors who graduated from the Faculty of Marine Engineering at our university to discuss the following topics: "What does it mean to work? What does it mean to be a researcher?" in job hunting and how to make use of it at work”.Undergraduate and graduate students who started job hunting, as well as high school students, listened intently to the lectures given by their seniors.
In the latter half of the session, participants were divided into groups and had a free-to-talk discussion where they asked questions directly to their seniors. It was a lively talk time where everyone actively asked various questions about job hunting, work content, going on to higher education, and lifestyle.
