Qualifications for admission to the University's undergraduate schools

Qualifications required to take the TUMSAT's special entrance examination for self-financed international students.

Undergraduate students are required Japanese Language skill.

《Qualifications》?Only those to whom the following [1] to [4] all apply can take the special entrance examination.

[1] Those who do not have Japanese nationality (excluding those who have obtained permission for permanent residence in Japan) (*)

 (*) Those who do not have Japanese nationality but graduated or will graduate from a Japanese high school or a Japanese secondary education school (including those outside Japan) will be treated as general applicants and unable to take the special entrance examination.

[2] Those to whom any of (1) to (2) below applies

 (1) Have completed a 12-year school education course outside Japan, will complete such a course by March 31 of the year in which they will take the examination, or a course which is designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan to be one that has equivalent qualification.
 (2) Qualified by the International Baccalaureate, Abitur, Baccalaureate, and GCEA Level

[3] Those who have or will have by the day of the entrance examination a residence qualification that will not hinder them from entering university in Japan under the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act of Japan.

[4] Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)

 (1) Those who took the EJU for the subjects designated by the University in the year of their entrance examination to the University. The EJU is an examination held by the Japan Student Services Organization twice a year in June and November.

 (2) These students are required to take the EJU for Japanese language, science (two subjects of their choice) and mathematics (Course 2) in Japanese. They can take the EJU either in June or in November of the year of their entrance examination to the University.

 1) TOEIC L&R and TOEIC-IP: 400 points or more

 2) TOEFL (iBT): 40 points or more, or TOEFL (PBT): 435 points or more

 3) IELTS Band: 3.5 or above

 4) GTEC for STUDENTS (*): 500 points or more,GTEC (4-skill version) (*): 840 points or more, GTEC (3-skill version) (*): 500 points or more, or GTEC CBT: 720 points or more (*) Basic/Advanced

 5) EIKEN Grade Pre-2

 6) TEAP (4-skill version): 160 points or more
